Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 17, 2026

The Popular Party ("the Popular Party," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit [popularparty.org] or interact with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our website or providing us with information, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Who we are

The Popular Party is a political organization. You can reach us at lucaspeters@popularparty.org with any questions about this policy or your information.

Information we collect

Information you provide to us. This includes information you give us when you donate, sign up for updates, purchase merchandise, volunteer, or contact us — such as your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and any message you send. When you make a donation, we may also collect your employer and occupation, which we may be required to record and report under applicable law.

Payment information. Donations and purchases are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not collect or store your full payment card number. The processor handles your payment information under its own privacy policy and security standards.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from our payment processors, analytics providers, and platforms you use to interact with us.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • process your donations and fulfill your merchandise orders;

  • send you newsletters, updates, and other communications about the Popular Party;

  • organize, recruit, and carry out the work of the movement;

  • respond to your questions and messages;

  • comply with our legal obligations, including any campaign finance, tax, and reporting requirements that apply to us;

  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website; and

  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

Public disclosure of donor information

Because we are a political organization, information about contributions — which may include a donor's name, city, state, employer, occupation, and contribution amount — may be subject to public disclosure or reporting under campaign finance, tax, or other applicable laws. By contributing, you understand that your contribution information may become part of public records that we are required to file. If you have questions about what may be disclosed, contact us before contributing.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services for us — such as payment processing, email delivery, website hosting, merchandise fulfillment, and analytics — and who are permitted to use it only to provide those services.

  • Legal and reporting requirements. When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, including required campaign finance or tax filings.

  • Protection of rights. To enforce our Terms of Use, protect the rights, property, or safety of the Popular Party or others, or investigate fraud or security issues.

  • With your consent. When you direct us to share it.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and improve it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent, though some parts of the site may not function properly without them. We do not guarantee a response to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal and reporting obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

Your choices and rights

  • Email. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. We may still send you non-promotional messages related to your donations or orders.

  • State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to or deletion of it. To make a request, contact us at lucaspeters@popularparty.org. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old to make a donation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our website may link to other websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
